Midsummer Seed - being released early 2011

A Short film Currently in the edit.This is a stand alone short film inspired by the musical 'The Dreaming' by Howard Goodall and Charles Hart. One day I would like to make 'The Dreaming' into a Film.

This short was a learning curve short more than anything, shot on 16mm film, with external sound, in period costumes, on location in a Blacksmiths and a Forest in both Day and Night. We had 2  stunt horses and riders (that have appeared in Robin Hood and War Horse.) We also had liecenced children, and was all filmed in Gunnislake, Cornwall with a 20 strong crew, and a budget given to us by a very kind friend.

A young lad and his Father head into a wood on midsummers eve to chop some wood, while there the father hears laughter. He tells his son that he met his mother with-in the forest and that he is half woodlander. handingover a pinecone she left after giving birth to her son, and returning to the forest. The son feels the magic in this cone and follows his heart back to the forest.

This production was Produced by Adam Paulden of Paulden Productions. Adam is one of the driving forces behind alot of my films that we are planning on and this was the his first production with me as a producer.

A Love Story- Soft Release Early 2011, Main Release Christmas 2011

Feature film written by Kellen Playford. This project was shot for £1000.00, Produced and Directed by me, with co-direction from Rosie Hill. Shot on HDV this film spans the width of christmas making a perfect backdrop for a great love story

Jamie is in his earlytwenties, and has never stopped being a bit of a self confessed player. We open the film seeing him roll out of another one night stands bed. Meeting his housemates, Nathan, an unemployed lay-about, and Andy, the sensible one with the long term girlfriend, Andy invites Jamie and Nathan to a party hosted by Andy's strong headed girlfriend Laura. Once at the party Jamie meets Beth, not Jamie's usual type, but a really interesting creative photographer. They hit it off, and arrange to meet up.
After a few dates christmas approaches, Jamie is on top of the world until Beth finds out she is pregnant. Jamie unsure how to react, over reacts, causing Beth to leave him. In the new year (after having the worst new year in his life.) Jamie finds a way to get her back, and once again everything is on track, Jamie will be a dad. The next day after getting Beth back Jamie starts a new job as a Music Teacher. His first lesson is with the 6th Formers, and who happens to walk in but the girl we saw at the top of the film, the stunning, and flirty Anna. She also informs Jamie that she is pregnant. Jamie is even more of a prediciment know, having firtly slept with a student but now the possibility of having too father 2 children this brings it to a whole new level, and his mates ain't helping.
